I remember with warm feelings a wonderful evening I spent in Milan with Maddalena De Padova and Vico Magistretti, two creative and different people, each of them in his or her field, both great professionals whom I deeply respect.
Thinking of Maddalena, I wish to say that design and the whole world of creativity does not only consist in creating new objects, but also in being closed to partners who manufacture brilliant ideas. Italian Design would not exist without Italian manufacturers, who allowed ideas to become reality.
Moreover, besides creative people and manufacturers, the famous Italian design showrooms, the third vertex of the triangle, allowed us to witness the finished product.
Maddalena is both a manufacturer and represents the most important stage for Italian design.
