From January 2008 De Padova s.r.l. owned the Zoltan brand (Zoltan di Contract s.a.s.).
All products branded Zoltan will keep this distinction and will be handled by De Padova, as will all relevant distribution and communication activities.
Zoltan was the set up in the early '90s by Luca De Padova, whose intuition and entrepreneurial spirit led him to adopt a product policy that has always fitted in neatly with the De Padova brand's product range.
The new take-over has a dual aim: to enrich the De Padova collection with furnishing accessories in tune with the company's own style and respondent to various functional requirements and to boost the potential of the Zoltan brand.


Zoltan, the beginning
ZOLTAN has been on the market for more than ten years, both in Italy and abroad.
Our Hungarian name shows the wish to consider an international creative landscape and to draw inspiration from the various energies that have been set free since the early `90s.
After the introduction on the Italian market of the first Spanish companies, in 1991 ZOLTAN launches a successful collection of beds with a Japanese inspiration.
In the following years the search for talented new designers goes on, with a special attention for Germany because of the operational ties with that country.
In 1993 ZOLTAN signs a contract with a German company for the production and the Italian distribution of the multifunctional chair `Tattomi`, designed in the Eighties by Ingo Maurer. This is the only piece of furniture that the brilliant creator of lighting objects ever designed.
After an experience in `ethnic` design with a production of Indian origin, a continuous research is developed in ever widened geographic areas.
Today, ZOLTAN is a collection of unique furniture which delivers a high degree of excellence in terms of functionality, product and design quality. The intensive collaboration with young professional designers from many countries had given this collection its individual character.
