Born in Milan in 1954, he graduated in 1978 in Florence in "radical architecture" with an experimental thesis on housing.
The years of his training in Florence were a period of intense cultural and emotional stimulation, combined with frequent travel and wide contacts, which proved very fertile in personal terms as well, with the universities of Milan, Vienna, Paris and above all the United States. His early, important training in Florence was followed by his subsequent development in Milan, where he worked for his father, Marco Zanuso Senior in his practice and at the university with Enzo Mari and Achille Castiglioni, in contact with the great tradition of Milanese architecture and design, a unique combination of elegance, courage and sensibility.
In Milan Zanuso worked to create a style of his own made up of sensibility and rigour, clarity and detachment.
In 1991 he went into partnership with Daniele Nava and devoted himself to interior design for offices and homes.
Currently he is working on a project for a residential complex in Milan and redefining the image of the GS supermarket chain.
He has worked with various Italian firms, including Cappellini, Driade, è De Padova and Fontana Arte.
