
London Design Festival sees the launch of the inaugural edition of I-MADE (Italian Manufacture, Art and Design Exhibition). Curated by Giulio Cappellini it will be presented in Chelsea’s iconic Saatchi Gallery, I-MADE is London’s first exhibition solely dedicated to Italian design and manufacture.
I-MADE hosts a series of design talks and workshops over the course of four days that brings together esteemed Italian architects, designers, artisans and entrepreneurs.
«The industry of design in Italy», is a design talk taking place on September 20th featuring an exceptional line-up of speakers:
Roberto Gavazzi, Boffi | DePadova CEO participates together with Giulio Cappellini (designer and I-MADE curator), Patricia Urquiola (architect and designer), Patrizia Moroso (creative director Moroso) and Giulia Molteni (marketing & communications Molteni&C)
A true celebration of Italian innovation and craftsmanship, I-MADE draws on the passion and traditions of historic Italian furniture brands.
To complement the main exhibition is Giulio Cappellini’s satellite showcase “Take a Seat,” which pays homage to key figures who have shaped the history of chair design, including De Padova and its timeless Louisiana designed by Vico Magistretti and the re-edition of the iconic ‘60s Silvia armchair designed by Archivio Storico Bonacina 1889 and Paolo Tilche.
